In this song I wanted to express how I was able to use music as a means to get through the heartbreak of a breakup, and to assure myself that life, and music, would continue. I decided to use Leonard Cohen’s very popular and hauntingly beautiful Halleluia as a reference. The structure of the verses echos that of his song, and there are quite a number of direct references lyrically.
